Job Description:

As a Kitchen Assistant at Evelyn’s Midtown Kitchen you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our cooking classes. You will work closely with our Chef Instructors and participants to create an exceptional culinary experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cooking Class Preparation Assistance: Assist in preparing ingredients, setting up workstations, and organizing kitchen tools and equipment before each class.

2. Class Support: During cooking classes, provide support to the Chef Instructor and participants by ensuring they have all the necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment. Help maintain a clean and organized workspace.

3. Customer Interaction: Interact with class participants, addressing their questions, providing guidance, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience.

4. Clean-Up: Assist with post-class clean-up, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing equipment.

5. Inventory Management: Keep track of kitchen inventory and assist with restocking supplies as needed.

6. Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe cooking environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen role is a plus.

• Passion for food and cooking.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.

• Food safety certification is a bonus.

​

Schedule:

This is a part-time position, and the schedule may vary based on class offerings. Evening and weekend availability is required.
